Flowing water quite easily washes away the limestone rock, carving caves and tunnels. Layers of limestone on the islands of The Bahamas is known the world thickest layers of this mineral. They form under the water layer with a thickness of 8 km. On the coral reefs are formed and while the limestone sinks (on average 1 cm per 100 years), weight increased very coral.
